I am Louis Allday, and I am responsible for the personal information I use in my counselling practice. You can contact me about your information at [email protected].

When you get in touch

If you email me, I receive your email address and the information you choose to share, including your phone number if you provide it. I use these details to respond to your enquiry and discuss arrangements for counselling. The website enquiry form opens your email application; it does not send your message to a website database.

My counselling records

I make brief, anonymous handwritten notes to reflect on my work with you. I keep paper records for five years. I keep signed paper contracts and contact details in a locked filing cabinet in my home office, and electronic copies of contracts securely on my password-protected computer. I use your contact details for practical arrangements about your sessions with me.

Confidentiality

I discuss aspects of my work in professional supervision, where confidentiality is also protected. There may be circumstances where I need to share information because of legal or safeguarding responsibilities. Where possible, I will discuss any concerns with you first. If I have to stop working unexpectedly, a close colleague would contact you about arranging a referral.

This website

I use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. It loads code from Google, which receives technical connection information such as your IP address and browser details. I host my fonts and images with this website. The cookie acknowledgement is stored in your browser for the current tab session. Read my cookie policy for details. The website hosting provider may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver the site.

Your information and your rights

You can contact me to ask about the information I hold about you, or request access, correction or deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. These rights are subject to the applicable conditions and exceptions.
